About the Author:
Heather Collins has illustrated more than 50 children’s books, including the My First Look at Nature series and Gold Rush Fever. She lives in Toronto, Ontario.

PreSchool-Grade 1-A beloved poem, written 70 years ago, is given new life in this appealing picture book. Collins's colorful, droll illustrations are simply composed yet packed with details. A young boy and his teddy bear escape into the picture hanging on his bedroom wall. They share the delicious feeling of watching the lad's father discover he's missing and seek help in finding him. Now diminutive in size, the boy romps through the inside of gloves and his dad's pockets, through house-plant forests, behind books as well as under wooden blocks-and of course his own comforter! He is always one step ahead of or behind the search team (aka his parents). The changing perspectives constantly challenge youngsters to join in the search. The language of the poem is as fresh as ever and portrays a gem of a parent/child relationship.
