Before he was twenty-nine years old, Alan Borovoy organized a large community delegation which persuaded the then government of Ontario to outlaw racial discrimination in housing. From there, he went on to provide key leadership in the quest for equality in this country: for example, on behalf of aboriginals in Kenora, blacks in Halifax, and religious minorities in Ontario's public schools.
Thus, when Borovoy expresses misgivings about the activities of his fellow equality seekers-as he does in this book-we should all pay attention.
