About the Author
Elle Andra-Warner is a long-time resident of Thunder Bay, but has recently also lived in Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Estonian by heritage, she was born in a post-war Estonian displaced persons camp in Europe, and came to Canada as a child with her parents.
A graduate of Lakehead University, she specializes in non-fiction writing, focussing on history, biographies, aviation, and travel destinations. Her weekly newspaper column about people is in its 10th year of publication, and her feature articles appear in publications around the world. She is also a media and communications consultant, and gives seminars on writing.
Other books she has written for the Amazing Stories series are The Hudson's Bay Company Adventures: Rollicking Saga of Canada's Fur Traders and Robert Service: A Great Canadian Poet's Romance with the North.
