About the Author

Bill Silliker, Jr. was one of the world's most respected nature photographers and writers, and studied moose extensively until his death in 2003. The author of Maine Moosewatchers Guide and many other books, Siliker contributed to numerous outdoor magazines and conducted outdoor photography workshops for L.L. Bean in Freeport, Maine.

The photos in this book are amazing. The author is a wildlife photographer who obviously has the courage to get very close to these enormous animals.... This beautiful book will certainly appeal to young and old and belongs on the library shelf. (Kliatt)
