Walter J. Harmidarow was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. As an Investment Counsellor for a major Canadian financial institution, he has developed knowledge of the investment business, which he has combined with his life-long passion for the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, to form THE FINAL SOLUTION, his first novel.

An avid Sherlockian, Walter is a member of the Bootmakers of Toronto, the largest Sherlock Holmes Society in Canada. He has presented papers and been published in Canadian Holmes, the quarterly journal of the Bootmakers.
