She is an expert in environmental remediation and trace elements in the environment and food supply. She has published in the fields of anthropological nutrition, type 2 diabetes, and the role of polyunsaturated fats in human intelligence.
Dr. Broadhurst has also been a scientific consultant to the natural products industry for twenty years and is a popular lecturer and talk show guest. She lives in Maryland and North Carolina with her husband, and two dogs.
