Grade 4-6-The Aylesworths have combined some of the best features of the "Let's Discover the States" series (late '80s) with the "State Reports" series (early '90s, both Chelsea). Population statistics have been updated and more people of importance from each state are listed. Much of the text, however, is word for word from the earlier editions. The full-color photographs and reproductions are appealing, but are for the most part merely decorative. These serviceable additions may not be necessary if earlier editions are owned and other sources are available for current statistics.
