This experienced-based collection introduces a variety of issues and models in distance learning, including managing copyrights, designing online tutorials, assessing, lesson planning, and more. Much of what is presented applies not only to distributed-learning settings but also to on-campus library instruction. Not addressed here is the need for the institutionalization of library instruction into the curriculum where and however it is delivered; it is usually the librarian who must find collaborators and ways to infiltrate the program so that the many suggestions and ideas in this book might be used.
