Grants are the lifeblood of many libraries these days, and with budgets stretched to the limits, they can provide some of the needed resources. Applying for grants can be a challenging process, and this addition to the published literature is a great step toward assisting new grant writers. Emphasizing the importance of library planning as the critical first step, the book arranges chapters in sections covering “The Grant Process Cycle” and “Library Grant Success Stories.” Part 3, “Winning Grants Multimedia Toolkit and DVD,” contains worksheets and templates that can also be found on the accompanying disc, along with instructional videos that mesh with the various stages of writing a grant.
