From the Fed Ex driver to the Marine Corps lieutenant, from the firefighter to the cop, women in uniform snap everybody to attention. In Uniform Sex, a squadron of new and well-known writers offers up steamy tales where uniforms come first-and last. Judge Benko goes fishing in Felicia von Bot's hilarious send-up, and J.M. Redmann details what happens when the uniform has to be left behind. Add in Cecila Tan's high school marching bands, a Civil War soldier with something to hide, a mechanic who's mighty bored at her uncle's gas station, and more. Ten-hut, recruit!'

From "Judge Benko's Decision" by Felicia Von Bot
Bang! Judge Benko slammed down her gavel impatiently. "Order! I said order in this court!"
"But Your Honor," pleaded several women.
BANG! "This is the Superior Court of Appealing Lesbians, not a summer festival," the judge proclaimed over a babble of voices. "Any more demonstrations and I'll confine this trial to my private chambers." Those who had swarmed up front swallowed their complaints mid voice and retreated behind the wooden railing that separated the proceedings from the raucous crowd.
Benko turned impatiently to her law clerk. "Reno, remove all naked women from this courtroom. Now!" Always one to obey orders, Reno slipped down from behind the bench and herded out the protesting group. Several women gathered T-shirts and undergarments that had been tossed around the courtroom. One or two pieces of clothing hung from the rotating ceiling fans that only seemed to circulate the hot air in the room. Turning to a lagging woman, Reno instructed, "Now, dahling, put your pants back on. We can't have people walking around the courthouse undressed."
"I just wanted Ms. Happy's autograph," the young fan replied, as she stretched her neck around for one last glance at the defendant sitting in the witness box.
"Yes, but a tush, even a cute one like yours, is not the best place for it," Reno advised, as she helped the woman back into her jeans. Making the

If you've ever fantasized about a drum majorette--sleek white knee-high boots, silky support hose, military cap--we have nothing in common. Nevertheless, if you thrill to the sight of a uniform, this may be the lesbian erotica anthology for you. Where else can you find an off-duty firefighter, a leather daddy, and a cafeteria lady under the same covers? In Ellen Golden's "Plaid Skirt, White Shirt, Blue Socks, Blue Shoes," schoolgirl chums "practice" kissing and petting. The late-night talk-show heroine of Nicole Foster's "Butch Talk" finds herself topped by a mysterious, gravel-voiced caller. In Cara Bruce's "One Sexy Scout," a forest ranger who looks "like a grown-up Girl Scout not yet gone wrong" attracts the eye of a naughty tourist: "She was pretty in an authentic sort of way, but what really got me was the state-issued knee socks that traveled down rounded calves and ended in those clumsy mud-covered hiking boots." Hold me back! Midnight reading for the starch and spit-polish crowd. --Regina Marler
