About the Author:

Forman Brown was born in Michigan in 1901. After graduating from college in 1922, he taught briefly at North Carolina State College before beginning an extensive tour of Europe, where he began writing Better Angel. In 1929, with Harry Burnett and his lifelong partner, Roddy Brandon, he resurrected the traveling Yale Puppeteers, which found its permanent home at the Turnabout Theater in Los Angeles in 1941. He died in Los Angeles in 1996.
