The purpose of this book is to provide a guide to approaches and techniques involved in planning and analysis of development projects. Content is oriented to the context of developing countries, but much of it is relevant to transitional and developed economies. Focus is on practical issues that arise in project analysis and material is written to be accessible to readers who may not be specialist economists. The formulation, estimation, and appraisal of projects is examined in early chapters, and later chapters are concerned with financial analysis of projects, economic and social assessment of projects, and the implications of changes in assumptions and prices.
