"This book offers a path to health care reform that goes beyond our obsession with cost control. The book does an excellent job of redefining the role of health care in building community and breaking the boundaries of our thinking and our actions." —Peter Block
"Community Stewardship is a must for the health care trustee and CEO of the future. It links the concepts of a 'learning organization' and 'healthy communities' into a guide for positive governance reform." —Gail L. Warden
"This should be required reading for all new board members to help them understand their most basic responsibility: the community's health. The author appropriately suggests that we swing open the boardroom doors and discover what is really going on out there in the larger community—break down those hospital walls!" —Charles M. Ewell
"Attention: Frustrated Hospital Trustees! Want to do good? Feel good? Read this book for a lucid, authoritative, helpful discussion." —Regina E. Herzlinger
