About the Author
Allen Lacy, for many years garden columnist for The New York Times, has been publishing the newsletter Allen Lacy's Homeground since 1993. He is the author or editor of 12 books on gardening, the most recent being The Inviting Garden: Gardening for the Senses, Mind, & Spirit (Holt, 1998). He is Professor of Philosophy at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Pomona.
Christopher Baker is a New York-based photographer who has worked for international clients, photographing food, gardens, and cosmetics. He has 15 books to his credit.
