About the Author

Dan Futterman (screenwriter) makes his screenwriting debut with Capote. As an actor, his films include The Birdcage, Enough, and Urbania, for which he received Best Actor at the Seattle Film Festival. He has appeared on stage in New York in numerous productions, including Angels in America, and was a regular on the CBS show Judging Amy, as well as appearing in Will and Grace and Sex and the City. Bennett Miller (director) made the acclaimed documentary-portrait The Cruise, about New York City tour guide Timothy "Speed" Levitch, which won the top prize of the International Forum at the Berlin Film Festival and the Emmy Award. He is also an acclaimed director of television commercials. Miller met Futterman when they were twelve years old, and they have been friends for the past twenty-five years.
