Marianne Mercugliano, M.D., Co-director, ADHD/School Problems Evaluation and Treatment Program, and Attending Physician, The Children's Seashore House of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia; Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Division of Child Development and Rehabilitation, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Mercugliano received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Her postgraduate training included a residency in pediatrics at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, a postdoctoral fellowship in developmental disabilities at the Kennedy Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, and a postdoctoral research fellowship in neuropsychopharmacology in the Departments of Pharmacology and Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mercugliano has been the principal investigator of laboratory research grants to study the development of neurotransmitter systems, behavior, and medication effects and has published in both clinical and basic science journals. Her academic interests include neurochemistry, nutrition, medical issues associated with ADHD, and psychopharmacology. She is the medical consultant to the Community Schools Project at The Children's Seashore House and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.
