About the Author
Brian K. Miller earned a master’s degree in wildlife ecology from the University of New Hampshire–Durham and has spent the last decade creating nature, wildlife, and travel images from around the world, including the United States, Canada, Russia, South America, Mongolia, China, and Southeast Asia. Miller says, "I strive to capture the aesthetic beauty of the natural world and authentic moments in time. Through my photography, I use light, patterns, form, and personal vision in an attempt to create images that demonstrate balance and beauty."
Miller’s photographs have appeared in numerous books, calendars, and magazines, including National Wildlife, National Geographic Traveler, Natural History, Wildlife Conservation, and Audubon. His first book, Birds of the Gulf Coast, was published by Louisiana State University Press in 2001. Miller was a featured photographer in Heart of a Nation: Writers and Photographers Inspired by the American Landscape, published by the National Geographic Society.
