Book by Roose-Evans, James

Roose-Evans, author and director of the Broadway play 84 Charing Cross Road, provides a very creative guide to developing one's spiritual life presented in three acts: the traveler, the map, and the journeying, which consists of meditations for 30 days. An Anglican priest, Roose-Evans is widely read and is a perceptive thinker. He observes that "when we speak of God we are always speaking of ourselves--or, rather, of the Self within," and he attempts to bridge "a gap widening between religion and spirituality" through a fresh but classic approach to deeper interior silence through which we slowly "become what we love."
