About the Author
MELISSA STEWART has always been fascinated by the natural world and enjoys sharing it with readers of all ages. After earning a bachelor’s degree in biology from Union College and a master’s degree in science and environmental journalism from New York University, Melissa spent nine years working as an editor before becoming a freelance writer/editor. Stewart is the author or more than sixty books for elementary, middle grade, and young adult readers. She lives in eastern Massachusetts.
