At times this can become quite disorienting, especially when readers are expected to remember acronyms used several pages earlier without a second translation. The glossarized index helps--if readers know to look for it. Jaspersohn's A Week in the Life of an Airline Pilot (Little, 1991) presents similar information from an entirely different standpoint.
