This volume, aimed at the library media teacher, is full of practical ideas and suggestions on teaching the research process and making the library program more collaborative. New and veteran school librarians will find much to cull from the material offered. In addition to narrative information, which includes scripted lessons, there are many reproducible visuals such as charts, calendars, etc. Unfortunately, some of these are not placed well within the text, often coming before the explanatory information. Chapters on research, emphasizing process over product, are divided into lessons for primary (K-3) and intermediate (4-6) classes, and include notetaking and writing a research paper. The weakest chapter deals with creative final products using technology, and only covers putting images in written reports. Rochelle Glantz
