Computers and their users have invented a vast language to describe their work and activities. Terms, acronyms, and phrases take entirely different meanings for programmers, accustomed to the shorthand of if-then-else statments and the verbosity of spaghetti code. With over 1200 definitions, Weisert's dictionary is an excellent reference source for practitioners of the black art of programming and novices looking for a digestible translations. It's neither exhaustive nor completely comprehensive, but it does provide quick and accurate definitions to a wide array of annoying and frequently encountered terms. If you don't own a dictionary to programming terms and need one, Weisert's book represents a good, basic resource at an affordable price.
