Near Big Mamou in Southwest Louisiana, Mamère Cochon must send her three little pigs, ’Ti Joe, ’Ti Claude, and ’Ti Frère, out into the great big world to seek their fortunes. As they prepare to go their separate ways, the brothers agree to watch out for the loup-garou, who’s been planning a cochon du lait for as long as they can remember. Will they be able to avoid the hungry loup-garou? Well, if any three pigs ever had le savoir-faire (the know-how) to outwit the cunning wolf, their names would have to be ’Ti Joe, ’Ti Claude, and ’Ti Frère, I gar-on-tee!

Cajun storyteller Sheila Hébert Collins brings the three little pigs into bayou country in this delightful retelling with a liberal dusting of Cajun French. Louisiana native Patrick Soper’s illustrations bring all the lushness of the state’s rural areas. About the Author

A former teacher who makes frequent school appearances, Sheila Hébert-Collins proudly claims a heritage that is completely Cajun. A native of Abbeville, Louisiana, Hébert-Collins combined her love and pride of her culture with her love of children's literature to create unique, Cajun fairy tales. Because of her talent, she is featured on the Louisiana State Artist Roster as an author and Cajun storyteller. She has also written Cendrillon: A Cajun Cinderella, Blanchette et Les Sept Petits Cajuns: A Cajun Snow White, Jacques et La Canne à Sucre: A Cajun Jack and the Beanstalk, Jolie Blonde and the Three Héberts: A Cajun Twist to an Old Tale, Les Trois Cochons, and 'T Pousette et 'T Poulette: A Cajun Hansel and Gretel, all published by Pelican.

The lush surroundings of his south Louisiana home and studio often influence the work of award-winning illustrator Patrick Soper.
