The Potts Factor's Return is the newest book of the series that Stanley Potts has written and had published. In this newest book (2006), as with the previous two there is a hodge-podge of 72 years of memories of ranching and running an outfitting business in Nevada and Idaho, hunting trips from the northern Yukon , Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho and Nevada. It is also interspersed with mining and Idaho wilderness history, airplane and flying stories, horse and airplane wrecks, life flights and ambulance rides, and tributes to some of his animals, along with his recent induction into "The Idaho Legends of Rodeo/Cowboy Hall of Fame". Many of the stories have a touch of humor and also poke fun at the author. The stories are true and constantly shadowed by "The Potts Factor" (which appears to be similar to "Murphy's Law"), but expanded in its' extremity. Potts' description follows this scenario in most instances. "It very simply states that if something has 50/50 chance of going right, it will go wrong nine times out of ten!" Potts says in his People have told me "Man you write like a combination of Pat McManus, Dave Barry and Baxter Black!" I read some of their stuff and "Sure enough! We all write in English!" (My apologies to all three for any comparison beyond writing in English.) Other people have said, "You will never be accused of being a writer - But you tell a hell of a good story in print!" Whatever the case may be - here are more of my stories in print. All true to the best of my ability to report. The stories about others - are the best from my memory and theirs. The stories are not sequential; any one of them will lull you to sleep as well as the rest! The other two books in this series are The Potts' Factor Versus Murphy's Law and Look Down On The Stars.
