About the Author

Dale Swoboda, DPA, is a professor of public policy and administration at Walden University, where he teaches courses including nonprofit finance and budgeting and public policy and administration. Dr. Swoboda has experience as a consultant and business owner, a state government agency manager and executive, a contracts administration manager, and a regional planner. He has a doctorate in public administration from Arizona State University.

Georgalu Swoboda, MAM, MS, is Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri and a graduate instructor at Walden University. She has over 30 years of nonprofit administration experience, including positions as an equal opportunity specialist directing the Phoenix Women's Commission and Human Relations Commission, a program and management consultant for the YWCA of USA, and Executive Director of the San Antonio YWCA.
