About the Author

Rebecca Ward, MS, MSW, has a private practice in general psychotherapy with a special interest in couples and marital therapy in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work and is licensed by both the Social Work Licensing Board and the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Psychology. Her professional associations include clinical memberships in The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, American Group Psychotherapy Association and National Association of Social Workers.

She belongs to the state associations of eachof the above and has served on the boards of all. Appointed by Governors Jim Guy Tucker and Mike Huckabee, she has served on the Social Work Licensing Board since 1996. Currently, she is the chairman of the Community Advisory Committee at the University of Arkansas Department of Social Work. Rebecca has written for several Arkansas newspapers since 1966 and has been published in the Arkansas Times, the Arkans! as Democrat-Gazette, and the Arkansas Women's Journal.

She teaches a graduate course in theories of marital and family therapy for UALR. She lives in Little Rock with her husband, Don. They have just finished building a house and swear that the information in How To Stay Married Without Going Crazy kept them married and sane. She is addicted to chocolate in any form, the New York Times Crossword Puzzle, and appreciates elastic. ("God gave us elastic to make up for menopause.") She plans a sequel to this first book that will include chapters on infidelity, step-families, and intimacy issues.
