Grade 4-6?Two excellent supplementary sources for reports that include foods and/or recipes of the respective regions. History and culture are presented crisply and briefly. Maps showing the location of the areas under discussion and a simple physical/political representation are helpful. Clear full-color photographs add greatly to the books' appeal, and their captions add additional interesting information. Since these are not primarily cookbooks, there is not a lot of detail about how to measure, how to use tools, or nutritional content, but the recipes are easy to follow. Orange boxes contain safety hints regarding sharp knives, baking, or boiling water. Glossary, index, short bibliography, and table of contents make these valuable assets to any library.?Carole B.
