About the Author:
Hope Irvin Marston is the author of ten nonfiction books for young readers. One of her books was a Junior Literary Guild selection, another was named a Notable Book by the National Council of Social Studies Teachers and the Children's Book Council. A native of Beech Creek, Pennsylvania, Hope now resides in upstated New York with her husband Arthur and their three dogs: an akita, a boxer, and a golden retriever.
