Bonnier Napier, EdD, MRA, OTR/L, retired from occupational therapy education in 2009 after teaching in graduate programs at Dominican University of California and Samuel Merritt University and in occupational therapy assistant programs at Yakima Valley Community College and Sacramento City College. She was the first program director and fieldwork coordinator for the OTA program at Sacramento City College. She helped develop the curriculum and was the first academic fieldwork coordinator for the OT program at Samuel Merritt University. This book is a result of working with hundreds of students making the shift from academic settings to the practice of occupational therapy.
