They appear seemingly out of nowhere; one moment a pristine field, the next moment a complex and mysterious design imprinted in the nearly ripened wheat. The stalks are bent and laid in swirls and patterns of mathematical precision and yet remain virtually undamaged. Some designs demonstrate principles of geometry while others portray ancient religious symbols. Skeptics tell us they’re hoaxes, but no one can fully explain how these patterns are created with such speed and accuracy. Some even believe there are alien forces at work.
The Crop Circles 2006 wall calendar features thirteen incredible crop circle photographs paired with fascinating information about this phenomenon by expert Freddy Silva, a leading researcher of crop circle occurrences and author of Secrets in the Fields: The Science and Mysticism of Crop Circles, published by Hampton Roads in 2002.

The curious thing about our three-dimensional world is that it forms part of a greater Universe incorporating a myriad of other dimensions. Visual paradoxes, in which dimensional planes are both linear and circular, horizontal and vertical, are useful in training the human visual cortex and the brain to more readily accept information as it would appear in, say, a four-dimensional Universe. By 2000, the Circlemakers were creating designs which allowed us to see beyond the confines of three-dimensional reality, to experience a world where there exists no perspective as we understand it.
