Synopsis

In this book, a collection of 22 chapters, the editors trace the evolution of Ellis' philosophy and methodology from its Freudian roots to present day Cognitive Behavior Therapy using Dr. Ellis' writings, including some collaborations with other authors. A sampling of the chapters are: Conquering Depression, Modern Marriage: Hotbed of Neurosis, The Origins of Rational-Emotive Psychotherapy, and Guilt, Responsibility and Psychotherapy.

About the Author
James McMahon, Psy.D., Ph.D., Sc.D., trained under Ellis and serves as a Trustee of the Albert Ellis Institute. He is a renowned educator/clinician and serves on the faculty of the University of Oradea (Romania) and the Albert Ellis Institute. He is a Diplomate in Rational Emotive & Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
Ann Vernon, Ph.D., Sc.D., is an internationally renowned expert on applications of REBT with children and adolescents. She worked with Ellis for over thirty years as both a Trustee and faculty member of the Albert Ellis Institute. She, too, is a Diplomate in Rational Emotive & Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
