About the Author

Peter Johnson has worked in the rubber industry for 25 years, mostly in the field of processing, mixing, milling, calendaring, extrusion, molding, and testing. From 1976-1986, Johnson was an Associate Editor of Rubber Chemistry and Technology, the official journal of the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society. He has authored chapters on various aspects of processing in six textbooks, and has lectured on processing at courses run by the ACS Rubber Division, other professional bodies, and universities. Since 1997, he has been an independent consultant on rubber processing.
