About the Author

Ronald L. Grimes is the author of several books on ritual, most recently, The Craft of Ritual Studies. He is co-editor of the Oxford Ritual Studies Series. Grimes was most recently Visiting Professor of Ritual Studies at Charles University, Prague. Prior to that he was Senior Researcher, Senior Lecturer, and ISM Fellow at Yale University and Chair of Ritual Studies at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Currently, he resides in Canada and is Director of Ritual Studies International and Professor Emeritus of Religion and Culture at Wilfrid Laurier University.
