Synopsis
This book contains a remarkable collection of America's history reflects through its inns, with a fa-vorite recipe from each. Whether you choose to go East or West or some place in between, you will enjoy a fantastic journey. through these pages as Lu-cille Carloftis describes the highlights. The author says that she enjoys old architecture and unusual places, and many of these inns were started in the 1700s and early 1800s. Not surprisingly, a number of them are listed in the National Registry of His-toric Places. Carloftis graduated cum laude from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky. A past member of the Governor's Executive Board on Tourism, she makes her home in Livingston, Kentucky, south of Lexington.
