Review

"Deeply researched, tightly written; this articulate, compelling, "quick read" is a superb treatment of a great leader who had one very bad day.  If I were asked to recommend only one book to a new student of Custer, it would be this one."
Lt. Gen. Harold G. Moore, USA-Ret.  Co-Author "We Were Soldiers Once...and Young"

"(Shattering the Myth) is a well-written...Thought provoking...and useful introduction to this complex and often partisan subject.  People tend either to love or hate George Custer, and (Sullivan has) presented both sides of the man--that which appeals and inspires, and that which gives pause, elicits skepticism, or even outright dislike."
Brian C. Pohanka, Historian/Writer

"Sullivan's book is more about the strange and unusual man than the details of the many battles he fought.  The tale roars to a climax..."
The Louisville Courier-Journal
