Bongard has been a Richard Petty fan since his Dad introduced him to stock car racing when he was a young boy. He found hobbies such as photography, model building, and writing naturalways of understanding and appreciating more aboout racing. He has worked extensively in the photographic industry, written many how-to articles and features, and won numerous awards for hi models.
