About the Author
Ruth V. Russell, Ph.D. is a professor of recreation at Indiana University in Bloomington. She lectures and writes widely about many subjects, with a current emphasis on the cultural implications of leisure, as well as about leisure as a humanities concept. As a university professor for 27 years she counts as her greatest achievement enabling students to embrace statistics as an important professional tool. For fun, her leisure passions are reading, boating, trekking, and camping.
