Synopsis

Debut novelist Donita Glinski takes readers on an emotional journey of nostalgia, redemption and acceptance with the release of "Yellow Slickers, Paper Rings and Things." An inside perspective into the thoughts and memories of protagonist Annie Sanders, the novel catches Annie at a crossroads in her life. She is struggling with the recent death of her young son, Matt. Once confident and purpose-driven, Annie now finds herself depressed and lost. It is only through the memories of Annie’s past that she is able to come to terms with the reality of her present. These memories—both joyful and painful—present the reader with characters that have influenced Annie into the person that she is today, providing her with the strength she needs to go on with her life. Intertwined with memories of her past are also present-day relationships that Annie soon discovers require her attention. With Matt gone, Annie soon realizes that the next-door neighbors’ son, Kevin, may be harboring a dark secret—and Annie may be the only one who can help. With the prospect of a new purpose in life on the horizon, perhaps Annie finally will be able to accept Matt’s passing. "Yellow Slickers, Paper Rings and Things" is a touching novel of the heart’s ability to heal.
