About the Author

John Kirk was educated at Harvard College and Columbia University. After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, we co-founded a small trade book publishing company and has been involved in book publishing ever since. He has authored, or contributed to, numerous books on subjects as diverse as military, history, American art, cartography and the English language.
