About the Author

John F. Clarkin, Ph.D., is a Professor of Clinical Psychology in Psychiatry at the Cornell University Medical College, Director of Psychology for the New York Hospital, and Co-Director of the Personality Disorder Institute. Dr. Clarkin's academic writing has focused on the phenomenology of the personality disorders and the treatment of patients with borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder.

Mark F. Lenzenweger, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Psychopathology at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York and an Associate Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at the Cornell University Medical College, New York, New York. Dr. Lenzenweger directs the Laboratory of Experimental Psychopathology at Cornell University, where he conducts two programs of experimental psychopathology research, one in the area of schizotypy and schizophrenia and the other in the logitudinal study of personality disorders, personality, and temperament. In addition to his research, Dr. Lenzenweger offers undergraduate and graduate coursework in experimental psychopathology at Cornell.
