About the Author

Michael C. Roberts, PhD, ABPP, is Professor and Director of the Clinical Child Psychology Program at the University of Kansas. He formerly edited three journals: [i]Journal of Pediatric Psychology[/i], [i]Children's Health Care[/i], and [i]Children's Services: Social Policy, Research, and Practice[/i]. In addition to conducting research in pediatric and clinical child psychology, Dr. Roberts has authored or coedited several books. He has been President of the Society of Pediatric Psychology and the American Psychological Association (APA) Section on Clinical Child Psychology. Currently, he is Chair of the Council of University Directors of Clinical Psychology and a member of the APA Council of Representatives on behalf of the Society of Pediatric Psychology.
