Synopsis
Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) is a powerful specification for implementing messaging applications. The first section delivers a solid primer on MAPI components. The second section discusses implementation details for developing service providers on Win32 platforms. A case study of a client/server mail system, called the WINDS messaging system, is included and provides an "under the hood" look at the many important technical considerations relevant to developing MAPI-compliant components. Inside MAPI was first published by Microsoft Press. This edition contains the same great content as the original edition, but in an easy-to-use CD-ROM format. Text is in Adobe PDF format. A setup program is included that installs the PDF files, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and the sample code.
