About the Author

Gary A. Dias served with the Honolulu Police Department from 1971 until 1998 and wrote about his experiences in his first book, Honolulu Cop (Bess Press, 2002). He is currently manager of security at The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu. As a reporter, Robbie Dingeman, co-author with Dias of Honolulu Homicide (Bess Press, 2003), has covered major Hawai'i stories for newspapers and television since 1982. She is currently the health reporter for The Honolulu Advertiser. Dias and Dingeman are married to each other and have two daughters.
