About the Author
DILIP HIRO is an author, playwright, and journalist who has written 14 books about the Middle East and contributed to several others. His articles have appeared in newspapers such as the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and The Wall Street Journal, and he is a frequent commentator on the region for various radio and television networks around the world including the BBC in London and CNN and NPR in the United States.
