Geoffrey Cantor, also author of Michael Faraday: Sandemanian and Scientist, is Professor in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Leeds. David Gooding is Reader in History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Bath. Frank A. J. L. James is Lecturer in History of Science at the Royal Institution, London, where Faraday lived and worked. Dr. James and Dr. Gooding coauthored Faraday Rediscovered.
