2007 will be the 150th anniversary of Joseph Conrad's birth.
About the Author
Alan Villiers, 1903-1982, born in Melbourne, Australia, started sailing at age 15 and served on many tall ships and as a commander in WWII. He found his metier combining seafaring with journalism and photography. His most famous book is Cruise of the Conrad just reissued by Sheridan House. Peter Villiers, son of Alan Villiers, has completed this work. He lives in the UK.
