Synopsis
You don't have to be an artist or expert quilter to use and enjoy Helen Squire's newest offering in the Dear Helen Series. This carefully planned edition can be used simply as a pattern book, with more than 80 versatile patterns. Some are for hand quilting and some for machine. Or, for those a bit more adventurous, follow Helen's hints to discover how easy it is to design your own quilting patterns. 'Create with Helen' also contains medallion designs for wholecloth quilts, a medley of floral blocks patterns, marking advice for using silhouette stencils, quilting grids to combine with the other patterns, and a pull-out section for larger designs.

About the Author
Helen Squire has been a quilt teacher, designer of quilting patterns, guest lecturer, auctioneer, and Q&A columnist for 30 years, and is well known for her six books in the Dear Helen series of quilting patterns. Helen began her publishing career as the Dear Helen, Can You Tell Me...? columnist for Lady's Circle Patchwork Quilts magazine in 1978 and published the first of her "Dear Helen" books in 1987. Helen's "historical" one hour lectures on quilting are often called "hysterical". Her informative facts about quiltmaking are presented in a humorous, lighthearted manner meant to entertain, as well as educate. Helen resides in Paducah, Kentucky, and is a member of the American Quilter's Society executive staff
