About the Author
The series' author, Barbara deRubertis employs both her knowledge of how children learn to read and her knowledge of what children like to read. In the course of her twenty years in education, she has served as an elementary school teacher, including four years at the first-grade level, as well as librarian, her current position at Vale Elementary School in Cashmere, Washington. She and her husband, Kim, are the parents of two grown children.
