About the Author
Robert Ghelardi worked as a writer with Louis Putz, the leader of Catholic Action in the U.S., during the last two years of his life. As an experienced financial writer Bob is able to illuminate the economic issues that played an unsuspected role in Catholic Action (and the culture s) destiny. Bob has published two other books and completed a third. The first book was Economics, Society and Culture, published to good reviews by Dell and Delta. The second (as coauthor) was Power and Authority in the Catholic Church (about Cardinal Cody), published by the University of Notre Dame Press.
As a one-time speech writer for several of America s top executives, Bob Ghelardi knows how to craft messages to target audiences and is confident this book will be a referendum on the state of the Catholic Church today. Bob doesn't believe that he has either a theological liberal nor a conservative bias. He is a Catholic who believes in a spiritual world that has direct relevance to secular life.
