Synopsis
The study of birds has intrigued & puzzled ornithologists for centuried. March in England sees one of the most remarkable mass movement of birds. The foreign rooks go overseas to Scandinavia & Germany, while the native rooks start nest-building. The tiny wren is a migrant who stays until the Autumn, then flies to France & Spain & crosses the Mediterranean to reach beyon the Sahara in deep Africa. Swallows leave this country in September for the African Kraal. What gives them a fantastic sense of aerial navication, unknown to Cabot, unthought of by De Gama?
